You never know what your going to find on Youtube in the sidebar. While watching Aaliyah’s music video for ‘One In A Million’ my eyes were drawn to the video still shot for Emeli Sandé ‘Next To Me’. Seeing that I’m not doing anything other then watching football right now, I figured why not check it out. To my surprise the song and the artist were both amazing! I don’t know much about Emeli Sandé, but I do know her debut album ‘Our Version Of Events’ is to be released on February 13th and that her vocals are more then on point. I can’t wait to hear more music from Emeli Sandé. Check out the video above and tell me what you think.

1. What inspired you to start blogging?
To be honest it was a bad break up lol. I needed something to pass the time and keep my mind busy, I had no idea it would turn into all this.

2. What was/is your most embarrassing moment?
I would have to say back in like 2009 during the Star Bar days. I had WAY too much to drink and while I was dancing I fell flat on my ass twice in the middle of the dance floor. I didn’t care much then but then next morning I was like “OMG! did that really happen???”

3. What is your ultimate goal with blogging?
I want to make a brand. I don’t want to just have a normal “blog.” Everyone knows that blogs have a stigma of talking shit all the time and forever just pulling shit out of their asses for ratings, and I don’t want Naybesa.com to be associated with that. I want my blog to be seen as a trusted website and not a blog at the end of the day. I want that Perez Hilton, Necole Bitchie, Global Grind type of brand. I don’t want to just be known as a blogger, I want to be respected as Janay Naybesa, and for people to read what I write and know that its always coming from a good place. Matter of fact I’m already working on shirts and things of that sort.

4. Who was your funniest interview done with?
So far I would have to say Jean Grae she had me ROLLIN!

5. What do you do to let loose?
Smoke….works like a charm LOL.

6. Who do you see as your biggest competition as a blogger?
Well, there’s this girl, she lives here in Seattle and works at a shop called Kicks & Tees, I think her name is Casey Carter.
