On April 23, 2013 I had the pleasure of attending the Nigerian sensation Iyanya’s concert, here in Seattle at the Eritrean Community Center featuring performances by, Emma Nyra and Deezell .
Normally I’m not supper early for events however, after I seen all of the people in his Instagram photos that were attending his concerts, I knew if I wanted good parking I should get there early.
When I arrived to the venue I a little shocked at how empty it was seeing that the flyer said the event was from 8pm-3am, however after it hit 11pm people started to show up. Read more…

Ever since I went to Dice’s album release party and I seen Camila Recchio sing live, I’ve been in love with her voice! It never fails, anytime I tell someone about her singing voice I tell them she reminds me of an Adele, Natasha Bedingfield, and Sara Bareilles mix. It’s just something about the soul that comes out of her mouth when she sings that I just love!
Recently Camila Recchio dropped a single entitled ‘When Stars Fall,’ and it turns out that she’s working on even more music for the summer!

Naybesa: Who would you say people compare your singing voice to most? When I hear your music I automatically think Adele, Natasha Bedingfield, and Sara Bareilles?
Yup, I definitely get those. Though I’ve also heard Bonnie Raitt, India Arie and Mariah Carey lol Big contenders I don’t know who I remind myself of.. it just comes out the way it does and changes depending on what I’m listening too at the time.. I go through phases.
Just when A$AP Rocky possibly won some extra points with the ladies, I can already see he lost a ton with the “Brown Skinned Girls.” In a recent interview with The Coveteur while telling women he likes them better with no make-up on, he also slipped up and said “I feel like with the red lipstick thing it all depends on the pair of complexion. I’m just being for real. You have to be fair-skinned to get away with that.” See what all A$AP had to say below:
You girls don’t understand how much you mess up your skin. You can’t help it, but make-up is the worst thing you can do to your skin. I love girls natural, but I don’t mind make-up. There’s nothing wrong with it, there’s really nothing wrong with it. See, guys like us we just like—well me, I only speak for myself, but guys like me, I’m used to normal. I’m used to real. Like yeah, your shit is going to stink, you’re real, you know? You piss, you bleed, you laugh, you cry—you’re human. So makeup is just like an artificial expression if you ask me. When it’s time to get all dazzled up or you’re going out, then fine.
As much as I wanted to go see Rihanna tonight in person, that clearly didn’t happen, however thanks to the #Seattle hashtag on Instagram, we now have a few photos from last nights [4.3.2013] concert.
I’m not sure about the other city stops, but according to Seattle Instagramers Rihanna didn’t do a bad job last night, and according to the photos she clearly had a good time!
Personally, seeing that you can’t turn left or right here in Seattle without seeing a Marijuana Dispensary I wonder if anyone hooked Rihanna up with some Seattle “good” before she left.
