C.Khid = Cannot Kill How I’m Dreaming
I was able to get the South Carolina native C.Khid to answer a few questions that I’ve been wondering since I found him on YouTube while also finding out who C.Khid really is “I speak from the perspective of a country boy who was born a hustler.” he says. Below you will find out C.Khid’s biggest stepping stone, what he feels makes him stand out, his love for the “curly girl” and so much more:
How did you get the name C.Khid, and what’s the story behind it?
Everywhere I went to play ball or live people knew me as “the Carolina Kid”. I wanted to make that into a professional pen name like “Mark Twain” and not just a street slang. Something that was to be respected as a real name, I knew “ would grow out of the ‘kid’ thing. I liked the name C.KHiD and made it the acronym Cannot Kill How I’m Dreaming. It’s been on ever since.
Where are you from?
South Carolina aka The Kacky Lacks.
What made you start doing music?
Honestly, I don’t know. I just started trying to emulate what was on TV and the music my dad was playing in the house. My mom had me doing all kind of creative stuff with writing because she was an English teacher. By the time I was in like 2nd or 3rd grade I was in city chorus. Too hard to remember.

“Writing for me has become something like a recap process.”
I’ve been bumpin Roderic for a couple years now, and since he just dropped a new video [that was on point I must say] for “Thrown AMF” last Friday, I thought it would be the perfect time to pick his brain. Check out what the local Tacoma rapper has been up to since his appearance on 106 & Park, and why if he could he would get advice from Young Money Cash Money rapper Bidman.
What made you go into Rapping??
I was always a music lover but I was actually shy as a kid. I started to write everything that i didn’t say which eventually evolved to rhymes, full songs, and then shows. I haven’t stopped since
As you know Washington State really isn’t on the map now a days especially when it comes to rap music. How do you think your music can change that?
I think I have a solid understanding of musical dynamics vs. the market which shows in my music. Not everyone can

I got a chance to snag a interview with my boy Sean Carson just in time for his new video Hide & Go Get It off his Mix Tape Love & Tonic to hit the net. In the interview he talks about what he wants people to get out of his music, the idea behind the title for Love & Tonic, why he picked Hide & Go Get It for a video, and even lets us know whether or not he found his Dream Girl. Check out the interview and his new video below and tell me what you think:
How did you come up with the name Sean Carson?
A: Well I didn’t want to come out with a name that I would have to change once I was older so I just kept It original. My real surname isn’t really that marketable so I took the last name of my great grandfather from California.
What got you into singing?
A: I start singing as a youngin growing up in the 90’s. I used to listen to a lot of smooth jazz and R&B with my mom on the radio.
If you could pick any artist that’s hot right now to be on your next single who would it be and why?
A: That’s hard. I got too many!!! Rappers I’d say somebody like Drizzy, Wayne, Luda or Kanye. Singers: R.Kelly, Tank, Jamie Foxx, Frank Ocean. Females I’d say Karina Pasian, Dondria, Keri Hilson, Melonie Fiona, Niki Minaj. Too many to say 1.
What is a must do for you right before you go on stage?
A: I’m sure any artist would agree when i say PRAY. Gotta make sure you right with god before you go on stage!
What message do you want people to get from your music?
When it comes to new and up and coming artist they have a drive and a passion for music that to me is stronger than ever and they will stop at nothing to get their name out there and Bug$y is one of them. Recently I featured a song called “With You” by Bug$y, and because I liked the song so much I decided to contact him and get an interview going. “I want for people to know that music is everywhere” he says I must say he aint know lie:
You have to love an artist that wants to change the music scene and make meaningful music, Troof Be Told is one of those amazing artist that makes music that actually means something. Recently I was lucky enough to get an interview in with Troof Be Told, and I must say he is as real as his name.

“I want to bring back the feeling of hearing Music that would make u stay parked in your car windows up on a Hot summer day just to hear that last Bar.”
Some girls may say lucky me but I say it’s just my job; recently I had the pleasure of interviewing “Mr. I’m So Cocky” himself, Sunny Phoenix and I must say it was pretty fun. However normally people that are “cocky” won’t take the time to open up and let people know what’s really good but Sunny Phoenix stepped out of the “cocky” stereotype and let it all out. And as for my ladies, I think some of you will be happy with one of his answers:
