Drake and Jay-Z appear to be cooking up something big. Both emcees are working on solo albums and were snapped (up top) in the studio together by Def Jam A&R Lenny S.
“Warning: Please be very afraid of the music we’re working on. OVO x ROCNATION,” reads the caption on the pic shared on Lenny’s Instagram.
It will be interesting to hear what these two come up with.
Just from the leggings Nicki Minaj was wearing at tonights 2013 Billboard Music Awards, I already knew a simple performance was out of the question.
Nicki Minaj brought out Lil Wayne to help her perform her hit single ‘High School,’ and during the performance Nicki Minaj gives Lil Wayne a lap dance that almost should never go past BET. Check out the performance below! Read more…
I have a few question? Who was Miguel’s stylist for tonight? Did they not get the memo of him hoping across that stage? Because even before he jumped across the stage and almost decapitated a girl in the crowd, his feet didn’t l0ok too sturdy on the ground. It was like he was about the fall flat on his a** just walking across the stage.
In case you missed it, at about the 2:50 mark of Miguel’s performance of ‘Adorn,’ at this years 2013 Billboard Awards, Miguel skips to the back of the stage, runs, and then lands on some girls neck in the crowd; and just like a true performer, he kept going.
Feel free to watch, and rewind below…. I sure did! Read more…
Chris Brown performed his new hit single ‘Fine China’ at the 2013 Billboard Awards with his live vocals trying to keep up.
I love me some Chris Brown, but he’s one artist that I just love to watch dance, yes his voce cracked in a few places it shouldn’t have but once the fight scene came out and his Lady Gaga look a like for a guitarist started playing; I truly didn’t mind the fact that he only sang for about 3o seconds of the song. Actually I was grateful!

You have to read the magazine for the cover story, however I’m just so proud to say Seattle’s Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are on the cover of Billboard Magazine’s “The Triumph Of The Indie Hustle” issue!
Check out a small excerpt for the story:
This may seem like a poor merchandising decision, but it’s illustrative of how these unlikely hip-hop stars do business. Many of their choices-starting with releasing their debut, “The Heist,” independently last October to the topics they rap about-seem counterintuitive in an age when acts rely on brand sponsors for tour financing and crucial revenue, and major labels for marketing and radio promotion, to say nothing of rap’s long-standing celebration of swag and flash. But the soft-spoken duo from the Pacific Northwest wouldn’t have it any other way. Or as Wanz says, “It’s like the emperor is actually wearing the clothes. They check themselves with everything they do.” Even merchandising, it seems. Read more…
I’m posting this because one, I actually like Jas Fly, and two this interview was supper entertaining!
Recently Jas Fly sat down with The Breakfast Club, to talk about her role on The Gossip Game, any “beefs” the public may have thought she had, and the simple fact that VH1 cuts out way too many scenes.
I found it interesting to find out how many of Angela Yee’s scenes were cut out even though they were scenes that should have been kept in. I understand that ratings won’t be as great if you show the positive sides of the cast members lives, however there needs to be a better balance. People need to see that not all bloggers and journalist beef with each other. Read more…
