I normally wouldn’t take the time to write about this seeing that I was there covering the event, HOWEVER because everyone is now talking poop about the venue and not simply the bafoonish people who don’t know how to act when they leave the house, I felt it was a must.

Last night Citrus Ultra Lounge on Lake Union was used for the official Mike Epps after party. If you attended this even, you know for a fact that until 130 [which is about when clubs let out] everyone had a great time. Everyone was dancing, plus Mike Epps even danced with a party goer or two.

I left at 1:20 am because my parking was about to expire so I missed the bafoonery that went down inside the lounge. According to Komo4 [and a few people on Facbook ] at about 1:25 ish a big fight broke out within the club, glasses and chairs were thrown, a few women got in the middle somehow which clearly didn’t help the situation; and bouncers kicked several people out.

Immediately after the fighters took it outside the lounge over to a parking lot where according to police at least 30 gunshots were fired.

The first victim, a man of unknown age, suffered gunshot wounds to both arms and the left leg.

The second victim, a 30-year-old man, suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Medics were administering CPR as he was rushed to the hospital.

By this time I’m pulling out the lot and can hear the gunshots loud and clear, of course I got out ok; and not to my surprise they have no clue who shot all these people. Damn shame!

Even though the last 10 or so minutes of the night turned out to be a hot mess, the rest of the evening was on point! Good drinks, nice venue, Mike Epps, and fun people in general. My point in all of this is, the fight had nothing to do with the venue or the people who normally party there, seeing that this was a special event with Mike Epps; when you have a celebrity making a special appearance you never know what kind of crowd you’re going to get. Especially if the artist [or in this case comedian] announces where he [or she] will be at later that night at the end of their set. This event could have gone anywhere, as long as the same people with that same ignorant mindset showed up, a fight still would have broke out.

There has to be a time when we ask our selves why are we really fighting in clubs and messing up everyone else’s nights. If you know you don’t know how to act if someone steps on your shoe, STAY HOME NEXT TIME!
