Naybesa Interviews Sean Casron + His New Video “Hide & Go Get It”

I got a chance to snag a interview with my boy Sean Carson just in time for his new video Hide & Go Get It off his Mix Tape Love & Tonic to hit the net. In the interview he talks about what he wants people to get out of his music, the idea behind the title for Love & Tonic, why he picked Hide & Go Get It for a video, and even lets us know whether or not he found his Dream Girl. How did you come up with the name Sean Carson?

A: Well I didn’t want to come out with a name that I would have to change once I was older so I just kept It original. My real surname isn’t really that marketable so I took the last name of my great grandfather from California.

What got you into singing?

A: I start singing as a youngin growing up in the 90’s. I used to listen to a lot of smooth jazz and R&B with my mom on the radio.

If you could pick any artist that’s hot right now to be on your next single who would it be and why?

A: That’s hard. I got too many!!! Rappers I’d say somebody like Drizzy, Wayne, Luda or Kanye. Singers: R.Kelly, Tank, Jamie Foxx, Frank Ocean. Females I’d say Karina Pasian, Dondria, Keri Hilson, Melonie Fiona, Niki Minaj. Too many to say 1.

What is a must do for you right before you go on stage?

A: I’m sure any artist would agree when i say PRAY. Gotta make sure you right with god before you go on stage!

What message do you want people to get from your music?

A: The message I want to convey to people that life is real. We are all real people who go thru real things. My music tells the stories of so many people. I want to get my music out to let people know that we all go thru things alike and entertain while doing so.

Your newest Mixtape out is Love & Tonic, how did you come up with that title?

A: Well love & tonic is a word play off a very powerful drink gin & tonic. I feel like the music contents of this music are such so I switched it up and called it love & tonic.

Speaking of Love & Tonic your song Hide And Go Get It has a video coming out this Friday. Last I checked this is a pretty sexy song so what side off Sean Carson can the ladies look forward to seeing in this video?

A: They can look forward to seeing a lil eye candy. I wont say too much. They’ll have to go and check it out for themselves.

What made you chose Hide And Go Get it for a video and not something like Be The One You Need?

A: All my songs are worthy of a video but this one I felt was something we all can connect to. Some may say the video is too explicit but I say harmless. Growing up most of us if not all at one time was exposed to or heard about the game and wanted to play.

Where will the public be able to see your video for Hide & Go Get it when it hits the net?

A: It Will be on a few sites but will surely be on YouTube just put in the search “Hide & Go Get It’-Sean Carson and it should pop right up.

Last but not least, everyone hates this question, however I asked everyone else that I have interviewed so it wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t ask you. Now on your Day & Nite Mixtape you told the ladies what kind of girl you want in Dream Girl… Have you found her yet??

A: I haven’t found it yet… I guess the search still continues… :)

    Perhaps there is some thing not right with the site? The images on the topmost look a little messed up. Nice blog post nevertheless, continue the great work you are doing here!
